Awesome Wedding Invitation Ideas – Pinterest Post

We’ve not posted for a while; a sunny July kept us both busy with BBQs and Pimms, but we’re back with a post featuring some of the best invitation ideas and designs to be found on Pinterest. We’ve favoured the more rustic looking (cue lots of twine-bound cards) invites for this post. Many of these pins were originally pinned from Etsy shops, so be sure to visit our Pinterest board and follow the links to find the suppliers of these fine invitations.

Fantastic Fonts

We really love the fonts in this first design, as well as the textured paper and cream on brown colour scheme. It’s a reasonably simple design, but the handwritten style of the names, date and location gives it a more personal feel.

Classy & Stylish

Nicely Knotted

Another rustic design, brown paper and bound with twine, we really like this design.

Stunningly Simple

A more modern-looking and simple design, the colours give a classy feel to this invitation.

Jigsaw Jumble

Probably my favourite of the bunch for sheer innovation is this unusual wedding invitation idea. Can you imagine sending your guests a jigsaw invitation that they have to put together themselves? It adds a little more fun and excitement for your guests and will certainly make your invitations a talking point!

Some tips:

1. Consider adding a digital RSVP

In the digital age that we are now, consider whether you really want all responses posted back, or whether, for sake of ease you will also allow email replies. Either way, keep a checklist of all guests and, however they respond, make sure they are ticked off when you hear back!

2. Offer your guests all information that you can

Obviously you will include time, date and venue on your invitations, but if there isn’t accommodation at your venue make sure travelling guests are catered for with details of a hotel or two nearby. Consider directions to both the church and the reception venues and definitely include postcodes (for sat navs!). Even consider adding some good eateries for those that may arrive the evening before.

3. Dietary Requirements

This should go without saying, but make sure your RSVP caters for those with dietary requirements, whether you are putting out a buffet, or a sit down meal. All it takes is one line to make sure all guests enjoy their food.

We hope you like all these invitation designs as much as we did – please let us know your favourite!
